RB750UP PoE output voltage

Wed Feb 25, 2015 3:31 pm

Hi,

I just want to know if the RB750UP is able to recognize the correct PoE output voltage needed by connected devices. I have a device that needs 7V, I don't want it to get burned if the RB750UP puts the whole 24V in it.

Thank you very much

It will output exactly the same voltage as it receives in input.
So if you need 7V, you need to power the RB750UP itself with 7V (which I think is too little to reliably power it).

you need to use a DC/DC converter. Then you can use any voltage you need on rb750up, and this ( http://www.ebay.com/itm/DC-DC-Buck-Conv ... 5d4e8424eb ) for the end device

rb 750up has an operating voltage from 8 to 30V and buck converter pretty much the same. Also i dont recomend on using lower voltage on rb750up. From my experience 24V is the best, 19V worse bud still ok, lower isnt very good for poe out.
