Outdoor dual band 2.4/5G a/b/g/n/ac 2x2x2mimo device

Wed Mar 18, 2015 1:22 pm

Dears,
I am seeing repetitively on this forum requierement for such device, both in outdoor and indoor variations. There are ways how to achieve it with mikrotik components (for example based on 922 boards), but it goes quite costly when counted all components together and it is not industrially built so its quality could vary piece to piece...

I have found this just now:

http://www.ignitenet.com/products/skyfire/

It costs USD 109-139 according to model.

This is not to make promotion to other party product. This is to kick the mikrotik the right way with planning their product developments.

My question is: Is there any other person like me that would like to get such similar device from mikrotik?

And the second question: Can I expect to see comparable product(s) on MUM in Prague?

We dont use 2,4GHz at all as it is very crowded band is small and we are only allowed to do 100mW EiRP. I like the idea of an integrated sector. We use Stella Doradus Sectors with routerboards inside.

It would be very useful for indoors installations also...

I'm still waiting for a 5Ghz indoor device that I don't have to assemble myself from boards and cases and antennas all bought separately.

I also would like to see a indoor AP device with 5Ghz. Some nice looking dualband ceiling-mountable AP would be really awesome. We used some of those APs from the competitor with the U ... and i have to admit that the APs look nice but the software is to limited compared with a device running a full routeros.
