RB850Gx2 PoE

Tue Mar 31, 2015 11:14 pm

Hi there, so i'm trying to power the RB850Gx2 router through its poe in eth1 from my rb2011uias with eth10 as poe out, the problem is that on RB850Gx2 the only thing that it happens its the blue led just a blinking light and that;s it, what does that mean and where can i find any documentation about led status?

RB850gx2 Poe-In port is gigabit. RB2011 ether10 POE-Out is 100BaseT.

You need a gigabit POE Adapter.

For POE-In your options are two: RBGPOE standalone poe injector, or the RB260GSP switch (SwOS) which has four Gigabit POE out ethernets.

I have doubts that the HP switch is MT passive PoE compliant. AFAIK HP offers 802.3af/at PoE switches.

As docmarius pointed, you need a passive POE gigabit switch. The most used are RB260GSP, and ubnt toughswitches.
