Hi all,
I have a huge problem with RB922UAGS-5HPacD and R11e-2HPnD on it.
I'm building a dual band a/b/g/n/ac AP to use for indoor project where i will have a lots of users in a zero interference (clear spectrum) environment.
I decided on RB922UAGS-5HPacD with integrated AC radio and to use mini PCI-E card R11e-2HPnD for 2.4GHz…
My problem is that some phones cannot have greater speed than 54mbps on 2.4GHz when connected to R11e-2HPnD.
When connected, in registration table there is Tx Rate and it never goes above 54mbps.
I have set n-only mode and still the same.
It is interesting that Rx Rate in that same table is above 54mbps (72mbps).
I only get around 20-24mbps speed of file transfer - (like its in G mode and not on N).
Phones are capable of having greater connection / download speed (tested on Unifi AP, TP link AP, Fritz AP,...)
But when I use some high end phones like Nexus 5 i get greater connection speed above 54mbps (72/72 rx/tx)
Also with some laptops that have 2x2 mimo speeds are much higher (150/300 mbps)
If i use both mixed devices at the same time the speed drops to 54mbps for both, and remains like that until i stop download on problem phone - then it is full speed for nexus 5...
It is a clean default configuration, Mikrotik ethernet 1 is in the bridge with wlan1 and wlan2.
No filters, nat, mangle,no auth - open network..... just simple forwarding to the network on lan
Tried - nothing helped:
- all frequency channels with combinations of Ce/eC
- 20/40 mhz; 20mhz…
- used only chain 0 rx/tx ; only chain 1 rx/tx ; both chain 0 chain 1 rx/tx ; chain 0 rx chain 1 tx…
- guard interval any / long
- updated to 6.29.1 (was on 6.2x)
- disabled wireless-fp and used only wireless package
- us / no_country_set settings
- distance dynamic / indoors
- tx power all rates fixed 17 / default
this happened with multiple phones from different vendors ( LG L fino, Alcatel Idol 2,... ) - and every phone worked great on other APs.
AC radio works OK.
The R11e-2HPnD is seen as Atheros AR9300 - but I looked up on the net and the chip is AR9580 ???
I need help fast on this one, because if this cannot be resolved I need to find another mPCI-e card that works with mikrotik ( plz post some recommendation for 2x2 mimo indoor mtik compatible card ) and have to return this one to the store in the next 4 days!!!
I found that some other user posted the same problem and there was no response…
