Have you tried some and had no luck? or is that a general question before you buy one? I have a RB405G and I haven't yet put a card in. I probably should, but I think it was on the underside of the board, so I didn't want to pull it apart (shutting down my link) to do it.

I tried a Medion 8GB card. The RB discovered the card, but it disappeared after a few attempts to format it. Any advice would be appreciated. Does anybody have experience with Kingston microSD and RB450G?

I haven't got one installed in my unit. Perhaps I should pull it out of the case and install it. I would tend to stick good known brands like Sandisk etc.

I have an 8gb card somewhere, I will try to install it in the next few days and let you know how I go.

I used a Kingston 16GB microsd class 10 card and formatted it as ext3. Seems to be working fine. Had to reboot after the format for it to detect again.

What else can I use the extra space for? I noticed you can use it for http proxy cache, can you create folders on it? Guess I need to tinker some more.

Thanks for your comments. I use it for small daily DB backups.
