Hello, this is more a hardware advice. I'm looking for suggestions to build a switch stack using Mikrotik switches in abusiness LAN.
Today we have a stack of 4 non-managed 24 ports 10/100 switches cascaded one by one in serial, ie: SW1 -> SW2 -> SW3 -> SW4, cascade is using 100 Mbps ports. Each switch servers a floor at our small building.
Is it possible to build a star topology using Mikrotik? A core switch with 4 access switches connected using aggregation, bonding using 2 switch ports.
We also like to have VLANs, like:
* floor1
* floor2
* floor3
* IT
* servers
* wlancorp
* wlanguest
I already have ubiquit APs for each floor, so wireless hardware is not necessary.
I'm wondering if 5 CRS125-24G-1S-RM will do the job.
Thanks for any advice!
Marcello.
