poe power consider

We want RB962UiGS-5HacT2HnT in our project(AP only), if use the POE OUT(port 5) to expand our WIFI NETWORK, How many can use RB962UiGS-5HacT2HnT(power consider)?

24V 1.2A power adapter --> CAT 5--> (port 1)RB962UiGS-5HacT2HnT(port 5)--> CAT 5--> (port 1)RB962UiGS-5HacT2HnT(port 5)-->CAT 5--> (port 1)RB962UiGS-5HacT2HnT(port 5)-->.................

Hi,

POE output on boards has serious power and current limitation , you should use them when you really have to and in most cases it's not for running powerful devices , it's better to use independent POE for each device.

besides checking device datasheet would help you about POE output max current

+1 to above plus its generally much cheaper to replace a POE device that has rj45 sockets damaged by water ingress into the cable than replacing a Mikrotik device
