RB911G-5HPnD VS RB911G-5HPacD

Wed Mar 16, 2016 8:44 am

Yesterday we tested a 20 km LOS link before with two 23dBi dishes and then with a 30dBi dishes. We tried before a connection with two RB911G-5HPnDs and then with the RB911G-5HPacDs.

Is it possible that SNR and TX / RX values is better with RB911G-5HPnD, I do not speak of performance and bandwidth-test but just the link quality.

I'm confused..

Both ROS was 6.34.1

RB911G-5HPnD
600MHz CPU, 32MB RAM, 1xGigabit Ethernet, onboard 1000mW 5GHz wireless

RB911G-5HPacD
720MHz CPU, 128MB RAM, Gigabit Ethernet port, power jack and 1300mW 802.11ac 5GHz Dual Chain wireless onboard

In fact RB911G-5HPacD doesn't have 1300mW, because nobody will use it in 6MBit/s datarate.

RB911G-5HPnD:
MCS0 30 dbm
MCS7 26 dbm

RB911G-5HPacD
MCS0 30 dbm
MCS7 27 dbm
MCS9 22 dbm

So in fact, if connected in AC mode and MCS9, signal will be lower.
