Spectral history scan from two units looks different

Wed Mar 23, 2016 6:26 am

I'm using the included spectral scan command.

I have two RB units sitting side by side each other (2011UAS-2HnD-IN and a RB952Ui-5ac2nD-US) that show a completely different spectral scan over the same period of time (a few seconds apart). See the image linked below. I disabled the Wi-Fi interface of each unit prior to scanning so as not to cause interference with each other.

I have noticed a similar output from a 941-2nD and a RB951Ui-2nD. I tested both on rOS ver 6.30.4. The RB95* always show things as looking cleaner. Is this something to do with newer 2.4Ghz chipsets or antenna differences?

If so, which result is the correct one?

I wouldn't say one is correct while the other is not; either show what the radio is picking.

951/952 have better radio specs, however the difference in spectrum is night and day...
