is it possible to use a CAP in CAPsMAN system without LAN interface.
Something like UniFi where when you set things up you need a wired link and then it can connect to nearby APs via WLAN uplink..

Actually whatever ros running device can act as capsman so there is no need to think how to make a network of caps to operate without the capsman. Or what essential point I am missing?
Oh. You want to run caps in wireless repeater mode or in wds mesh? It is not possible for devices of single wlan. You would need at least one wlan as uplink and other wlans in caps mode.
