My employer is expanding into another office suite in our existing building, and the current wifi (Unifi UAP) doesn't quite get a good enough signal to be useful (appears to be around -70 from wifi scanner). I'd like to use a Groove or RB951 to be the wifi client, and then setup another Unifi UAP in that office suite to provide wifi in the office itself (estimated 5-10 employees)
Would the Groove or RB951 be a better device for this purpose?
GrooveA: 500mW output + 6 dBi antenna, 1 chain
RB951: 1000mW output + 2.5 dBi antennna, 2 chains
It's an old brick/concrete building, and the new office suite will be on the 2nd floor (current office is on the 3rd floor).
This will probably just be a temporary setup until I can get wiring run to the suite, but we just don't have the time to run the wiring before they want to start moving people in.
I'm leaning towards the GrooveA, but would love any insights / suggestions!
