Background: I've been tinkering with a 17km p2p link over the past few months. This is not in production yet so I've had a chance to test many things. My head hurts and the link performance is essentially random, and I feel the need for a deeper understanding of what is going on both in the radio, and with the MT management and statistics features for ac. 

To start, an easy question. How do I map this display to MCSx modulation scheme? It looks like 802.11g data rates, not 802.11ac. Is "6Mbps" MCS0, 9Mbps MCS1, etc?
