speeds not going above 10MB/s

Wed Aug 24, 2016 5:12 am

i have 2 Dynadish in a range of 2.5 kms.

i am using NStreme protocol and the signal is around -60 to -70.

when i start a file transfer the start is around 16MB/s but immediately drops to 10MB/s and then settles there. does not increase nor does decrease.

how can i get more speed out of the link?

Your link is not aligned correctly. Major mismatch in the chains.

thanks for the reply... so a realignment and the signal level if matched will push the data speeds above... will they?

You want to get as close to -55/-55 in both chains as far as possible. It will help with modulation rates and you may get faster speeds.

I mentioned "may", as wireless speeds are dependent on many factors such as line of site, freznal zone, noise etc. Signal and good chain signals are probably the biggest determining factor - so get those sorted out and work from there
