2.4 and 5 GHz best settings

Tue Sep 13, 2016 11:18 am

Hi! One of our clients is using this product. That wireless router is configured as access-point (no DHCP, Ethernet and both Wi-Fi interfaces bridged). Currently settings for both interfaces:

Problem is that I can't find best settings for both interfaces. Wireless speed is not enough I want achieve. Maybe you can suggest me better configuration. Thanks!

Why aren't you using both chains? Do the radios have dual polarity antennas attached (or two single polarity antennas??)

What's the intended duty for this device? Providing WLAN indoors?

First thing to analyze is spectrum, open New Terminal and issue
/interface wireless spectral-history range=2412-2462 2.4GHz
and paste it here; do the same with the other interface:
/interface wireless spectral-history range=5150-6000 5GHz

When both chains are in use, my laptop (with Intel Centrino Wireless-N 2230) maximum download/upload speed shows ~25Mbps, but with one chain ~55Mbps. However another laptop (with Intel Centrino Advanced-N 6230), when both chains are in use, maximum speed is ~90Mbps, but with one chain ~45Mbps. That's weird, so I can't understand this..
About antennas, I can't give accurate answer, but device has 4 antennas attached totally, exactly as in picture you can find in link above.

Yes, with this device we are providing wireless network indoors for employees.

Results from Terminal:

2.4GHz

5GHz

Blue and black means there is nothing detected in this area.
