Wireless protocol for a point-to-point link

Tue Oct 04, 2016 5:15 pm

Hello,

I have a point-to-point link between 2 SXT 5HPnD devices. I leave the default option for "Wireless Protocol": any

In the status I can check that it takes "802.11" value.

Which one do you recommend? nstreme? nv2?

The link is for a 500 meters.

Thanks for your help.

Kind regards.

Thanks!

So I will select the 802.11 instead of any.

Regards.

Try also nv2 or nstreme and select what best suits you and your conditions and circumstances.

Use ONLY a PC to PC (or PC to speedtest.net) tests. Do not rely on internal speedtests of MIkrotik.

Use real data, as the user would experience. Download something from PC to PC (for example, an big movie from a shared frolder on a remote PC).
