PTP with two SXT G-2HnD

Mon Oct 17, 2016 4:13 pm

Good Day

I have a PTP link between my two properties which are 500m apart from each other with nearly a clear line of sight.

I am using two SXT G-2HnD running EOIP on Nv2 protocol, I am not getting very good signal.

Could someone please advise on what settings i could change to increase my connectivity strength?

I am using the link to provide internet from property A to property B.

Below is a screen shot from the CPE SXT G-2HnD

If possible you should change antenna positions to get clear line of sight.
When not, maybe you need to change to devices with more antenna gain.

Your signal should be in the low 40s at that distance, check the alignment.

Thank you.

I am going to try and adjust the units and see if that helps.

I am also considering maybe changing the devices and using MikroTik Light Head Grid 24.5dBi Dual Chain to see if this maybe improves my signal?

Nothing will improve the signal as much as getting clear line of sight!
