I'm having a peculiar problem with my wireless mesh.

I have three routers all configured to be part of the same mesh. I take control of one of them and intentionally change the channel away. Then I do a scan and it does not pick up the mesh SSID at all on the scan.

If I manually change the frequency back it immediately connects to the mesh and works again.

My SSID is not hidden. Is there any reason why neither of the two APs still on the mesh would be sending out beacons?

Using Winbox 6.37.1 on all three. 5GHz wifi.

Edit: Using a third party device also does not pick up the network, which makes it look more like a beacon issue and less like a scanner issue.

Edit2: It looks like this may have had to do with the accidental use of non-standard frequencies. I guess I now know why some frequencies are in bold and others not.
