WLAN-Bridge Connection unstable und slow

Thu Feb 23, 2017 12:10 pm

Hello.

I have realized in our company a WLAN bridge to connect two locations. The sketch shows the structure of the connection. I have made screenshots of individual systems and their configuration.
I am referring 4 MECONET MOR-19-16DP-911-5G, 1*GIGE, 1*802.11A/N WITH 2*2 MIMO, 300MBIT/SEK - This type. Firmware is on all routers the 3.33 and the ROS in the version 6.38.1.
The connections are not performant (~ 1MB / sec) and there are crashes and very long loading times.
The configuration I have tried after various instructions and am not sure if everything is correct. Can the experts look where I can still make changes to get a stable and fast connection?

If you need more information or logs, please tell me.

I thank all for your help.

Greetings from Germany.

Hi,

With These Bad Signal Levels, around -80, you wont get more Speed....

Re: WLAN-Bridge Connection unstable und slow

After some hints I have now selected as wireless protocol 802.11. Now the connection is faster and also 2 streams are used. The connection fluctuates very much, changing the speeds at all times.

Which setting do I have to make, so that the fastest and most stable connection permanent remains? Can I optimize the transmission power of the antenna still something?

I have again the current settings as screenshot appended and the configs of the individual rout are synonymous with it.

I would appreciate an answer.

Re: WLAN-Bridge Connection unstable und slow

Tue Feb 28, 2017 12:13 pm

The connection fluctuates very much
This is normal, the displayed rate in wireless/registration depends on the demand.
Initiate a big file transfer between the two sides and monitor your WLAN interfaces. Rate should increase to its maximum. Is the throughput stable ?

Have you done a wireless/spectral-scan/spectral history to ckeck if the channel(s) you use are not busy?
You can also use the bandwidth test tool between each wireless link (60<->61 and 62<->63) to see if there is a weak(er) link that could mess the whole connection.
