Hello.
Please, I want to know how meters away from base station a wireless IP Phone can take a call normally?
Let say, at the base station is a radio with high gain antenna transmitter.
Normally they are quite low-power, due to the small batteries they have. The IP phones I have tried have much shorter range than a regular laptop. The fact that you're running a time-critical application like voice over them reduces your range even more. But, what gain do normal IP phones have (phones that works 200-300m from base station)?
