GigaBit POE for RB/800??

Fri Dec 09, 2011 8:25 pm

Does anyone know if this one would work? http://streakwave.com/itemdesc.asp?ic=T ... 4G&eq=&Tp=

I hate running 2 cables up the tower for these, would be nice to have a affordable POE that will work.

No, you need more than 24v to use POE on that board. Use this one with a 48v adapter:

^^ that's what I was looking at, but I use shielded cable and ends, and it looks like that cheap adapter doesn't have a metal housing to ground the shield. I have one that is non-GB, and its just that black plastic inside.
