Simulated Full Duplex with OSPF Problems

Tue Jul 21, 2009 11:59 pm

Hi all,

I am trying to setup a simulated full duplex link using OSPF. The hardware I am using is:
2x rb433AH
4x XR5

I have been trouble setting this up and was wondering if somebody could give me a Step by Step guide to get this working? I went through all of the post I could find on the forums and the wiki and not had any success. Much Thanks.

Hello, my english is very bad but i will try help you.
Ful-duplex only work in UDP conecctions with very luck, you know that,no?with TCP you can have failover and half-duplex!!
Now:
First: You know how configure ospf in both side?
The idea is configure the " interface cost" for create full duplex:

site 1-ospf site-2-ospf
---------------- -----------------------
wlan1-cost-10<<----------------------------------->>wlan1-cost-100
wlan2-cost-100<<.................................>>wlan2-cost-10
In ospf-settings mark "redistribute coneccted routes"=as type 1;and put a "router id":1.1.1.1 for example and 1.1.1.2
If you want create a new area o use backbone,
You create in /ospf/interface static wlan1 and wlan2 and theirs cost in both side.
In "network tab" put your config network,
Then cross your fingers and pray!!!!!
This is my best explanation in English, in Spanish can be much more specific and accurate.

Best regards,
