Hello. My ISP uses MikroTik wireless technology for residential broadband service. I have a single antenna on my roof connecting to an access point less than 1/2 mile away. Last week connection dropouts began occurring, following a day of very heavy rain. The behavior is as follows:
Example of dropouts - http://bit.ly/11ywRNS - Hop 1 & 2 graphed (0 is my router). Hops 1 & 2 are the local access point where connection cutout is occuring.
Usual "Healthy" log - http://bit.ly/11ywUJo
The connection drops last anywhere from 5-20 seconds. All upload / download bandwidth ceases. If left idle, occurrences average every 10 minutes, with occasional rise in activity. If downloading a file (5 MB connection - log above taken during a torrent at 250kb/s) events occur every minute or worse.
I have confirmed that there have been no changes to line of site. As can be seen, latency remain constant and healthy.
So far my ISP technicians have been unable to isolate the issue. I figured I'd try the hardware experts at the source.
Any advise to relay to my ISP would be greatly appreciated as the connection is affecting me greatly.
Thank you in advance.
