Thu May 17, 2012 4:18 pm

Hi all,

Mikrotik newbie here. Learnt quite a lot from this forum and wiki. Got 1 problem which I couldn't find a solution to. I can't set wlan band to 5Ghz in my country i.e. Malaysia. I am sure I have done something wrong here.

Currently using RB751u-2HnD. Router OS v5.16
[admin@MikroTik] /interface wireless> print advanced

Using of 5Ghz is allowed in Malaysia. Below link to document saying so from Malaysian Communications and Multimedia Commission.

RB751U-2HnD has only 2.4gzh wireless radio. You need to use different Routerboard if you want to use 5ghz.

why this model says that it has dual chain wireless card ??
it does not mean it has 5ghz too?

dual chain wireless card = MIMO?

Chain is not band. Chain is stream but band is frequency interval. You mixed the meanings...
