known issues with recent Apple equippment?

Mon Dec 03, 2012 12:32 pm

Hi,

I have a bunch of APs (mostly 411AR + DNMA92) deployed (~100) at a customers premises that uses mostly Apple equippment.
About 1000 devices. In the recent times I hear more and more complaints about disconnects, delays in joining the Network and so on. It seems to be related to the newer iOS and MacOS versions.

I thought It was related to the Apples having issues with the WPA (no 2) encryption but now we changed to WPA2 AES
and it seems not to solve the issues.

Is there any known Issue that I'm not aware of? Any other hints how to tackle the situation?

thanks
Ekkehard

I believe there is a known issue with Apples and using TKIP. I've had similar issues with certain tablets. AES supports hardware encryption; so it's better anyway.
