RB2011UAS-2HnD no Wireless Interface v6.5

Tue Oct 22, 2013 12:30 am

Installed the version 6.5 on the RB2011UAS-2HnD router and now don't have the wireless interfaces on the system.

Is there something that I am missing.

Did you do a netinstall or the upgrade package?

Please show us the output of the "System -> Packages" menu. Is the wireless package there? Is it enabled?

Since OS 6.x and > 5.24 I run in to this problem several times (Only on boards with integrated wlan, SXT, Omnitik,Groove ...) , wireless package was there and enabled
netinstall will help or if router is on remote site - downgrade or upgrade to different OS ver. will help.
or simple try this first system reset-configuration no-defaults=yes it may help.

I went to the packages and it was disabled for some reason thanks for the help on this never ran into this issue before.

I also went and did a reset of the configuration also and that fixed the issues.

Tell me the serial number of the device, and which RouterOS version did you upgrade from (v6.4 or older?). How did you upgrade, upload the big combined package with FTP? Or uploaded individual packages? Where did you download the file?

SN: 419f0283a63f/331
Original OS 6.1
Downloaded the 6.5 from the mikrotik website link= http://download2.mikrotik.com/routeros/ ... be-6.5.npk

Uploaded the npk file to the files folder and rebooted.

One note I just got the router(new) and booted it up. Did no configuration or anything upload the new npk file and rebooted it.

1. Don't connect over MAC address, this is only for emergency use, and can't result in all kinds of missing winbox info
2. Upgrade to v6.5
