High throughput from radio<>radio, lower from pc<>pc

Sun Dec 15, 2013 11:27 am

I have a few links that have ccq both Tx/Rx in the steady 90's, running btest from radio to radio in a ptp bridge setup with NV2, N-only, I get 80-100Mbps thoughput. (I know running on the radio is less than ideal due to cpu load) Running btest from a pc through the same link to the endpoint radio my bandwidth is down around 30-40Mbps.... I have both setup in bridge mode, no firewall, nv2 preshare key aes wpa2. I am leaning towards an MTU issue perhaps.?.?

I also have a dumb question, maybe someone with more knowledge can enlighten me. If I have a ptp bridge is it possible or practical to disable ack on it being there's no routing taking place on the link... or is there something happening on a the 802.11 plane.

=-)

Do you test TCP in one test, and UDP in the other? Then result use to be like this.

No, I use TCP only, one direction at a time.
