one wifi client with low signal causing network slow

Wed Feb 12, 2014 1:47 pm

Hello
my config is
Mikrotik Router >> Switch (D-Link DES-1228ME) >> Ap1>> Customer1
>> Ap2>> Customer2

when Customer1 is having low signal at that time if i form Customer2 to AP2 it i am getting high latency and RTO also
but if i remove the Customer1 from AP1(Access list) the ping of customer 2 gets normal

can any one suggest what to do

You can create a couple of rules in your access list, one that allows that connection at a certain signal range and one to disconnect them should the signal get worse than say -85dB.

this can be done from access list and firewall required
but for some connection when signal is -88 the pthroughtput is about 150000 and ccq is 95% then why should i ignore this

Good day.

I have same problem. I've identified device causing issues.
Does anyone know why this happens? Some theory?

Problematic device (tablet) is just couple of meters away from Access Point.
Does it possible to tune some settings to prevent such slowdowns?
