WiFi Mesh with Groove 52HPn & 16DBi Omnidirectional Antenna

Sat Feb 22, 2014 9:50 pm

Hello every body,

I'm planning to start WiFi Mesh Network with Groove 52HPn and 16DBi Omnidirectional Antenna to cover 1km Long Straight main Road. I'm planning to setup 5set of Groove 52HPn and 16DBi Omnidirectional Antenna after each 100m distance. I need to connect with my 50 clients who resides both sides of the main road only. Please advice me what to do or what kind of equipment I should use for that project?

Thanks a lot.

Try something like this.
I give you a advice don't work with omnidirectional antennas but with sector antennas.

All five on the same frequency? I would not recommend it. Use one fequency for distribution and other for clients. At least. In case you have 50 customers you should have some money for investment. Then go by the way as suggested plisken or so. I would modify it a bit. Connect all local APs directly to main point as much as possible, try not to use wds.

I definitely wouldn't recommend wds.
Build a backbone with the point to point links. Use BGP routing ore OSPF
All access points have the same ssid but must use different frequencies
