Antenna for BaseBox5

Wed Feb 26, 2014 5:14 pm

Does Mikrotik have a certain antenna for this product?
If not, which antenna is the common option to use with BaseBox5?

Not initially, but Radome will be available a little later as an accessory (it is mentioned in the brochure spec table in a few places)

Sorry to revive this old topic, but with the recent introduction of new models, I have to ask.

Which of the two options should have a greater range?

- BaseBox5 + mikrotik new antenna (MTAD-5G-30D3)
or
- The new QRT-5

Since MTAD-5G-30D3 has 30dBi antenna, and QRT-5 has 23dBi antenna, the Basebox + MTAD combo should give you better range.
