Really new at RouterOS and looking at using a Metal 5SHPn for a public safety project in the U.S. Was wondering if it is capable of running in the 4.9ghz Public Safety band and if it would require any anything special for the RouterOS to set the device in the 4.9ghz band?

I don't think so that is possible.

Ok, the device shows the public safety frequencies and will let you save a selection on the AP, but the client doesn't see it. If you manually set the client, it still will not connect.

So, does this mean that the Metal 5SHPn will not operate in the public safety band or am I still doing something wrong. Would seem that it would since it shows and saves the channel selection........

Did you change the scan list to match?
