I have talked to my vendor and read these forms and for the most part I here NV2 is a good protocol that works well for people. But I have had nothing but issues with it and I'd really like to understand why.
Now If I run a link in 802.11 I'll get pings across the link 2-5ms but once the data rate picks up people get starved for bandwidth and the ping will flux quite a bit. So I run Nstream which handles the bandwith sharing better and my pings are 15-20ms and data rates 3-5megs downrate for most of my towers.
Now when I switch to NV2 the pings will go to 150-200ms. While people do seem to stay connected better and not dis-associate as much but people can really tell the differnece when things are 150-200ms. And most of my customers are gamers.
The majority of my AP's are rb433ah running r52hn cards 10mhz channel into a 12dbi omni running 802.11G only. I am running os 6.1 on the ap's and 5.6 on the clients.
Have any suggestions or thoughts? I am running 13 towers, and I have yet to have any of them run reliable on nv2.

Michael
