BaseBox5/NetBox5 RF shield

Fri Jul 25, 2014 6:33 pm

Hello,
I'm trying to find good products to have a stable PTMP in places where there are a lot of other WISP.

I would like to test these products together :
- Ubiquiti AirMax Titanium
- BaseBox5 or NetBox5
- EasyBracket 912

Do you think it's a good combination?
What about BaseBox/Netbox RF shield? Is there an additional shield I can purchase?
On the tower there are also other WISPs so I'm not the only one to transmit/receive on the 5GHz band.

I see Ubiquiti Rocket M Titanium uses a Die-Cast Aluminum enclosure to have a better shield.
When we'll see it from MikroTik? Is Netbox better shielded than BaseBox?

Rf elements have a good aluminium box that fit onto airmax sectors. Inside you can put a RB7xx or RB91x. It's called station box S

I'm not 100% sure of that because i haven't any netbox here but I think a netbox is a 91x board so it's very probably it will fit into.

If anyone can confirm this will be very helpful.
