4addr mode

Fri Aug 08, 2014 4:54 pm

Hi. I'm trying to connect Linux (fresh OpenWRT with ath9k) client to Mikrotik access point (RouterOS 6.4). Client should work in bridge mode and thus I have to turn 4addr on, but after client associates to AP there's no traffic at both endpoints. I tried to set Mikrotik in 'ap bridge' and 'bridge' modes, played with wireless interface settings but with no luck. Looks like RouterOS doesn't understand 4addr frames at all. Am I wrong?
Any hint on this issue will be appreciated. Thanks.

Use WDS, on ap-bridge mode.
Search on the wiki.

I tried but with no success. To use bridge mode at Linux side I have to turn on 4addr frames mode, after that Mikrotik stopped to receive any traffic except EAPOL, no matter which mode turned on at Mikrotik side (I tried all possible combinations).
