WDS disconnects all time since I upgraded all RBs

Sun Aug 10, 2014 2:32 pm

Can someone explain to me, which setting should I put to avoid these problems. Since I upgraded all my routers (RBs) to latest ROS v6.x I have problems with WDS, because it disconnects all time every few minutes. 90% of these wds links are my p2p from AP to AP and all of them are pretty good and stabile links -60dB - -70dB, and around ccq: 80-100% like on picture below. I started to upgrade routers 3 months ago and now when all are on latest 6.18 ROS, I see that I have these problems all time.
On picture You can see one p2p link on 802.11a 17km with 27dB grid antennas -68/-68dB and ccq 80%
You can see that router has 22 days uptime and over 1000 WDS connections and disconnections.

Hardware used on both sides?

Seriously you use grid?
Are the cause of the most wi-fi problem...
Before you reply "never happen before 6.18", you are super-sure is unchanged the zone near the tower?

Ignoring the grid, what protocoll you use between the two parts? NV2? Nstreme? 802.11?
If are 802.11 or nstreme, whiy you not use NV2 (or nstreme) 5ghz-only-n?
What are the 4 frequencies used by the 4 wlan?
Are anoter device (of any type) transmitting on same tower?
If yes, at what frequencies?

Why you not put one "/interface wireless export" of both sides?

Grid is quite good for us for some links, but we use all kinds of antennas.
Hardware are 433AH and r52 cards with 802.11 or nstream.
Frequences are not close, area is not noisy.

Problem is that this link and few other links were working good for few years..and now same cards, protocol, antennas having this problem.

Somewhere we can't use nv2 because of noise or low signal,, but it's interesting that these links were good so far without wds150 wds1500 or wds3245..

I've had a similar issue where the devices would drop packets for a second or two and then resume normal operation for about 40 seconds before dropping more packets, I resolved the issue just by switching over to NV2.

Yes but my links are 90% 5GHz-A, not N, and when I set up nv2 on that links most of them get higher ping, but Yes it seems that nv2 solve problem. what's Your opinion about A standard and nv2 together? Does anybody have any suggestion and settings that give better ping time on nv2 5GHz-A??

thank you
