I'm setting up a mesh system with 5 MikroTik routers, with 6dbi antennas.
I've got one setup as a router, connected to a MiFi, and then it's WLAN is setup as dynamic mesh, and the other 4 are setup as Dynamic Mesh.
That all works at my office, or when I tested 50 yards away or so. But when I got out to the location and tried at 300 yards, no joy. In fact, I can't really see them at all at 90 to 100 yards.
I was told (by another person that set them up), that I'd get about 300 yards out of these, from a mast about 25 feet up.
That person, however, used them as separate APs, with separate SSIDS, not as one big meshed network.
Any ideas? Does dynamic mesh, which I did for ease of setup (it was super easy) affect range? Any suggestions for other setups?

Ken N.
