Can I use the local user database to authenticate wireless users using WPA EAP (and WPA2 EAP)? If so, can somebody point me to a configuration example? I am sure it is possible and the answer is right under my nose, but I have not been able to get it to work and can't find a document that explains it. I am not using user manager or a RADIUS server.
I have done the following:
1. Created a group called "wireless" and given it no permissions.
2. Created user joe and added them to the group.
3. Under the wireless security profile, selected WPA-EAP and WPA2-EAP as authentication methods.
4. Checked "MAC authentication". (I saw a reference to that somewhere, but it didn't work).
I read somewhere that the Mikrotik always does a local user database lookup before hitting RADIUS, so I figured that this would work. I have seen no place were I associate the user group "wireless" with the WPA-EAP authentication mechanism.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Best,
