Mikrotik behavior at low temperatures

Wed Oct 29, 2014 3:20 pm

hi everyone,

I'm interested what is your experience with Netmetal, Netbox or basebox 5, at very low temperatures, -20 C and lower.
Do they work properly, or block?

I've used Mikrotik hardware for about 15 years in Canada with temperatures as low as -48C. I have never had a low temperature problem.

I've used a variety of routerboards down to -30 with no issues - IF THEY WERE OPERATING PRIOR TO BEING SO COLD. I have had numerous issues deploying a fresh board in -20 temps. Warming it with a heat gun solved the issue and it ran fine afterwards.

Ok thanks. It's a very good news for me. I want to put two MT P2P links on place where temperature is -20, -30.
