Client AP mode in next version on RouterOS

Mon Dec 15, 2014 1:48 pm

Can this feature be added in next version on RouterOS? I used that feature on my shitty TP-Link router, and works well. WDS mode on my Mikrotik cut the half of my ISP speed. Look the video for more info. :)

What is this feature you mean? In the video I see you added a VirtualAP. RouterOS also has the same feature. Please clarify what specifically you meant

If MikroTik is in client mode, Virtual AP can be used in that mode? Can be shared that internet connection ?

Your Wiki tell this:
Name of wireless interface that has virtual-ap capability. Virtual AP interface will only work if master interface is in ap-bridge, bridge or wds-slave mode. This property is only for virtual AP interfaces.
So VirtualAP will works only when master wlan1 interface is set to AP Bridge. If master interface wlan1 is set in station/station pseudobridge mode VirtualAP is not available.

In OpenWRT have options that is showed in video before and works. One interface (wlan1) in station mode, and other VirtualAP works in AP mode. Please review this feature in next versions. :)
