Wireless TX/TX frames VS tx/rx Hardware Frames

Tue Feb 10, 2015 7:06 pm

Hello
can anyone clarify me the exact difference between tx/rx frames and tx/rx hw frames
and which one will be calculated in radius for accounting
if it's hw frames then users are paying for data they are not using instead they will pay higher for bad service !!

Hi

HW Frame: how many packets must to send in theory
Frame: How many packets are used to send the info in real life

the relation with this two values is CCQ

EX: you must to send 2 packet with info but are used 4 packet in real life (you have interference) so the ccq is 50%

there aren't relation with HW Frames and reduce signal for extra pay.
You can use a radius to do accounting for your customers

Maybe you didnt understand the question.

What he is asking is, when using radius accounting is transmitted frames used or hardware frames. If its hardware frames, then that might be unfair. Thats the question, I don't know but its an interesting question. As if its HW frames then users might be "over charged" as frames need to be transmitted.
