Dlink TL-WN722N USB Dongle (Atheros AR9271)

Wed Mar 11, 2015 12:21 pm

Hello

We are trying to add another wifi to a RB951G. We have inserted an Dlink TL-WN722N USB Dongle with an atheros AR9271 chipset but mikrotik has not recognized it. What can we do ? In theory if its an atheros chipset it should work, isn't it?

Thanks a lot

Thanks Normis for your quick answer. We tried it in a CCR1009-8G-1S without success too. is it the same problem? Because this mikrotik hasn't got any wifi.

In which mikrotik could we add another wifi interface?

Thanks again

some usb wifi dongles where working un v5 but they where wary unstable and we stopped support them in v6
You need miniPCIe card slot for wifi card to work. CCR doent have that port
you need client configuration for CCR what purpose it will serve ?

you can use mAP http://routerboard.com/RBmAP2n if you need wireless client as usb for CCR

Understood.

I think it's a good policy to remove something that's not stable, thanks for doing it.

We love mikrotik

Thanks for your fantastic job

Dlink TL-WN722N don't exist anyway. Maybe Tplink...
