Hi!
I trying to connect two of them using RD-5G30.
Distance is 3km.
---------------------------------
SPECS - Try 1
---------------------------------
Band: 5GHz-only-AC
Channel width: 20MHz width.
Wireless Protocol: NV2 (TDMA 2ms, Cell Radius: 10km)
TX Power: Default
AP Mode: ap bridge
STA Mode: station wds
Signal TX/RX: -21/-24 dBm (d'oh!!!)
Signal To Noise: 86dB
BWTest TCP: about 86-92Mbps
CCQ: near 98%
TX Rate: 144Mbps-20MHz/2S/SGI or better.
Ok... Let's get signal in "normal" values.
---------------------------------
SPECS - Try 2
---------------------------------
Almost same as Try1.
TX Power: all rates fixed. Set to 8.
Signal TX/RX: -43/-45dBm (Not optimal i think... but correct. too much power!!!)
Signal To Noise 63dB
BWTest TCP: about 30-35Mbps
CCQ: 50-71%
TX Rate: 130Mbps-20MHz/2S/SGI or worst.
wtf ?
---------------------------------
SPECS - Try 3...n
---------------------------------
I've tested:
Wireless channels: ALL. Lower channels worst than high channels.
Wireless protocol: nstreme, 802.11.
NV2: cell radius, tdma auto or manual, security...
WDS: all variants.
HT: checked tx/rx chains are both used. (checked 250 times or more!)
Advanced: Hw retries from 1 to 15. ANI options.
Data Rates: default, configured... all variants.
Firmwares: from 6.19 to 6.28rc11.
Channel width: 20MHz is still usable. 40MHz... Well, about 12-30Mbps and CCQ about 30-40%
The pigtails are properly connected. Sure.
And unbroken. Sure too.
Dish misalignment ?? Fresnel ??
Ummm... I doubt.
Two Ubiquity NanoBeam are in production with solid 300Mbps/300Mbps on air and CCQ of 99.1%...
And about two meters lower. NetMETAL, using only-N in same situation, stay on MCS13 or worst.
Are NetMETAL a defective product ?
Are my NetMETALs defectives ?
What can i do ??
Some voodoo magic ?
Thx.
