Clients don't ask password when security-profile is changed  [SOLVED]

Mon May 18, 2015 8:48 pm

Hi there,

It's the first time I'm using Mikrotik, and I have to say, I wasn't happy in the beginning, now I think it's the most complete and affordable router/switch OS/boards available !

So, we have a network with 10 APs (WISP AP) in a Hotel. Everytime we change the WPA (WPA/WPA2, PSK, CCM) password, our customer's device don't ask for a new password. To force it, we also have to append a counter to the SSID to force customers to ask the new password to the reception.

It's strange because at home, I don't have mikrotik but a simple ISP router, and when I change my wifi password, all my devices automatically ask for the new one. Is there a configuration or a parameter to enable, to force clients to re-ask the wifi password when it's changed?

We don't want to give a try to hotspot and similar yet, because we're acquiring few servers in the next 4 months, including the RADIUS one, so for now, it's excluded.

Thank you for your help.
