Tuning NV2

Thu May 28, 2015 11:27 pm

I'm having a few odd issues with 900MHz, Xagyl 900MHz card, 10MHz, nstreme or nv2.. Happens from time to time.

One thing that I've seen in testing is that I get much better throughput using nstreme over nv2. I figured I'm working around the noisy 900MHz band and nstreme is probably transmitting in between the interference better than nv2.

My question here is has anyone tried changing the TDMA period size and cell radius to tune the link much?

I'm trying to wrap my head around it. As I understand it, 2ms should be fairly forgiving to neighbors, leaves some time unused. 10ms uses more of the available bandwidth, but pretty much talks constantly.

I'm thinking of making a chart to see how each setting (period size vs radius) pertains to actual transmit time. If anyone at MT has such a chart that would save me some time.
