802.11ac gear - 10MHz? Spectral scan?

Thu Aug 27, 2015 10:13 pm

We've several PtP links running on 10MHz channel width. Now, we are deploying new links, and we've discovered that AC boards can't run in 10MHz width, even setting wireless mode "Only N"

Is there any way to use 10MHz? Here it's difficult to find a 10MHz clean channel... and impossible with 20.

And... how to check spectrum? Spectral history isn't working in these boards. We do scan and "Freq Usage", but it isn't so accurate.

I heard that both are caused by incompatibility in new chips... but "the U brand" supports 10 and even 5 MHz channels, and Airview runs even without disconnecting the link...

Any there any plans to fix this?

Regards

Any updates on this?

I'm repairing a tower as soon as weather permits. I'll go MT 802.11ac if I can use 10MHz channel.

Yeah, I've noticed that.

Still poking the bear though. We need backwards compatibility.
