Newbie Help

Wed Jan 06, 2016 12:43 pm

I have inherited a network configuration that I'm still coming to grips with and lucky for me The Dude is up and running. However, it seems limited to ping and dns probes and no other probes seem to discover.

My first objective is to get the primary WAN router with bandwidth graphing as this is high on the list.

Can anyone offer some suggestions about how to fully configure the object to support bandwidth graphing?

Thanks in advance

Do you know how to configure SNMP? Does the device you want to monitor have SNMP? The dude will request SNMP values and display them in the context of the device. Is the device you want to monitor on a map? Right click that device, click SNMPWALK. That is a separate tool that shows if SNMP is working. If the snmpwalk fills up with values then SNMP is working. Once you get SNMP working let us know.
