TCP Probe for Winbox

Thu Feb 25, 2016 11:40 pm

Hi There,

I had Winbox freezing up on me a couple times remotely and all the time comes back fine after getting someone to reboot the unit in questioned. I'm wanting to set a TCP Probe on "The Dude" on port#8291 to check/get response from the service.

Does anyone know what would be the "Send" and "Receive" syntax details, so I can create this check in The Dude.

Regards,

Pipa.

You can select "connect only" and that will verify that the port is open.

There was a post a while ago where someone actually did test a radius login with complete details on what to send and receive for radius so the best way to firgure out a winbox send receive is to capture a winbox login in wireshark and break it down while using the radius one as an example.
