Dude polling deleted / deactivated devices

Tue Aug 02, 2016 1:45 am

Hi,

I am experiencing a problem where the dude keeps polling network devices that have either had their polling disabled, or have been deleted from the maps.
The devices in question have been added to our maps (in error) but are in network segments the dude can't reach - this causes the dude to hit our firewall trying to find a way to the network in question. Initially, I disabled the polling, but the problem continued. Now, I'm deleting the devices and the polling still occurs.

What's worse is that our default poll period is 30 minutes, but these 'ghost polls' are occurring every minute

Has anyone else experienced this behavior? How can we stop it?

Cheers

Check if:
* devices haven't been missed in Devices panel -> device list.
* If there are no link left in link Panel -> link list.

OK, I think it's coming from the links. They are all configured for simple mastering. If I delete the link, the Dude stops polling the "outside world"
Is there a way to display a static link that will have no mastering / polling associated with it?

If it is only a simple link it shouldn't try to pull any info. Only reason why it could try to pull info is if there is some custom functionality added in it's label.
