how do I show the device Identity ?

Wed Aug 24, 2016 9:52 am

Hello ,
I have the dude running with over 400 devices - and I want to be able to see the "system-identity" of each and every onw of them
all I see now is the IP of the device (that doesn't give me anything)

how do I do this ?

Thanks ,

You can modify your device label and display these values in two ways:

* via ROS - "Device Identity: [ros_command(":put [/system identity get name]")]"
^ Will work only if RouterOS check-box is marked in device settings and valid login credentials are entered.

* via SNMP - "Device Identity: [oid("1.3.6.1.2.1.1.5.0")]"
^ Will work if SNMP is enabled on router and correct profile is used.

Device Identity: [ros_command(":put [/system identity get name]")]

Also should have worked. It might be related to some issue with older dude version.

maybe
but I have another question now
all the routers that I'm monitoring are in the same version
in all of them if I enter the router and use ":put $test" - I see the value .
but in the Dude , some of them doesn't show me the value - what could be the reason ?
all the setting are the same
Thanks ,

Check if you see any info in ROS tab in device configuration window. Maybe login credentials are incorrect.
