Hi All

I am posting for the first time, then I will ask the forgiveness if I posted in wrong place

I am using THE DUDE with private MIB to monitor specific OID type OctetString, I am able to see the value with 3rd party MIB BROWSER but in THE DUDE snmpwalk & custom label , I am getting junk values (square , hashtags and more other random junk)

I would appreciate your assistance

What did you expect instead? A hex or decimal value list?
Is there a display-hint in the MIB for that octet string?

the value is in HEX format and i will prefer to display it DEC format .

Can you explain the meaning of "display-hint"

For comparison, the value returned using 3rd party MIB browser is attached below

got the idea, checked on the ext mib browser and saw it use ISO-8859-1 encoding,
How can I configure it in THE DUDE ? insert display-hint ?

Just edit the apparently incorrect MIB file and send a note to the maker explaining that it is wrong.
