I'm setting up the dude to monitor some Microwave links. Usually there is a mikrotik device on each side of the microwave bridge devices but a few are Cisco routers also. Most of the bridge devices "microwave" antenna's are dragonwave with one set bing mikrotik.

When making these links to monitor speed, up/down etc. should I add the ethernet link to the antenna's and include the bridge device in the links or just go directly router to router?

Also when available am I better off using routeros monitoring or sticking with snmp?
